GPS Receiver

This Advanced GPS/GNSS receiver for the Survey3 cameras provides increased image geolocation accuracy compared to the Standard GPS. Using this receiver you will see much improved latitude, longitude and altitude location accuracy thanks to the newer u-blox NEO-M8 module (compared to the u-blox 7 used in the Standard GPS). It features active circuitry for the ceramic patch antenna, rechargeable backup battery for warm starts and up to 26 second cold starts. The NEO-M8 series provides high sensitivity and minimal acquisition times while maintaining low system power. Sophisticated RF-architecture and interference suppression ensure maximum performance even in GNSS-hostile environments.

Since this GPS receiver does not have a barometer it is still possible for the altitude values to be captured incorrectly, so some post processing may be required.
